19/10/2002 Everton 2 Arsenal 1
This game was significant in that it saw a 16 year old youngster by the name of Wayne Rooney score his first senior goals for Everton.
Rooney had started the game on the bench but came on as a second half substitute and scored in the 82nd and 89th minutes.
Everton were knocked out in the 4th Round at Chelsea who won 4-1.
The programme contained 60 pages and measured 17cm x 24cm.
12/10/2002 Wrexham 0 Leyton Orient 0
Despite injuries forcing Wrexham manager Denis Smith to field a number of inexperienced players, he felt that Wrexham were in the game right up until Rooney's first goal.
Having taken the lead through Kevin Campbell on 25 minutes Everton were happy to put men behind the ball and kill the game off. Wrexham lacked the cutting edge needed to find an equaliser and Denis Smith observed: "we did not hit them as quicky as I would have liked".
